hey guys,

just wanted your opinions- i have or should i say had 2 black widows in my tank and the other day one died. i noticed a few days later that the second one had started to swim all wonky and so i did a water change even though all my other fish were fine and the good news is hes all good now but i just wanted to know- are black widows particularly touchy to changes in water parameters? they are apparently suppose to be quite flexible...

It sounds more like they were suffering from something that had built up in the water since the last water change, or had been added since the last water change. I know a few people with planted tanks who sometimes have trouble with tetra species after dosing heavily with fertilisers over an extended period of time. But it sounds like dilution of whatever it is has worked for you in this case.
